Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board received the Ambassador of Afghanistan

   On April 12,  Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board, His Virtue Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh received  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Azerbaijan Mr. Amanullah Jeyhun.
       Welcoming the Ambassador, Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh proudly stressed the great role of the state policy and the efforts and activities of the Country's Leader in ensuring and maintaining high level of interfaith and inter-sivilizational atmosphere in Azerbaijan. He expressed his hope that the newly appointed Ambassador of Afghanistan to our country will contribute to the further improvement of these relations and wished the Ambassador success in his work.
      Highly appreciating Afghanistan`s moral support and fraternal solidarity with Azerbaijan during the glorious Patriotic War, A. Pashazadeh stressed the importance of sustainable development of political, economic, cultural and religious ties between two countries. Sheikh-ul-Islam marked with satisfaction close participation of Afghan religious officials in international events organized by the CMB and expressed hope that cooperation will continue after the end of the pandemic in person.
Ambassador Amanullah Jeyhun thanked the Caucasus for the opportunity to be received by the influential religious leader of Azerbaijan and conveyed to him cordial greetings of the Minister of Hajj, Guidance and Foundations of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Qasem Halimi.
The activity of A. Pashazadeh since the Soviet era in the establishment of religious and spiritual relations with Afghanistan was especially discussed at the meeting.
At the end of the reception, Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh prayed for the coming Holy month of Ramadan to bring new success to Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.
