Sheikh-ul Islam received Rabbi Marc Schneier.

On February 3, 2021 Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims’ Board His Virtue Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh received President of the US-based Foundation for Ethnic Understanding Rabbi Marc Schneier.
Welcoming the Guest, Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh spoke about the importance of tolerant environment and multicultural values in Azerbaijan . Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh proudly noted that there were Jews among our martyrs, noting that representatives of the Jewish people were among the Azerbaijani citizens who united as a fist in the 44-day Patriotic War led by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev to restore Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
Sheikh-ul-Islam A. Pashazadeh expressed his appreciation for Rabbi Mark Schneier as a friend of Azerbaijan, and its people, and for his support of Azerbaijan's just path.
İn his turn, Rabbi Marc Schneier thanked His Virtue Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh for the warm reception and praised the multicultural and tolerant environment in Azerbaijan, emphasizing the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, including the Jewish community in the US. Saying that the Jews in Azerbaijan have lived in the country for centuries in an atmosphere of peace, fraternity and mutual understanding, the Guest stressed that they actively participate in the public life of Azerbaijan.
The leaders of religious denominations in Azerbaijan - Archbishop of the Baku and Azerbaijan Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexander Ishein, Head of the community of Mountain Jews in Azerbaijan Milih Yevdayev, Head of the community of European Jews in Baku Alexander Sharovsky took part in the meeting as well.
The two parties exchanged their views on prospects for Azerbaijan-US relations in the field of intercultural dialogue.
